(Note that Scarlett 2i2 is a USB 2.0 device and thus the USB connection requires a USB 2.0+ compliant port on your computer. Scarlett 2i2 Studio Pack includes the compact Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface, a large-diaphragm condenser microphone, studio-quality closed-back headphones, and all the cables and software you need to start recording. Once the software installation is complete, simply connect the Scarlett 2i2 to your computer using the USB cable provided. I've read a lot of good things on the Allen and Heath ZEDi8, or the Yamaha AG06, both around the same price and would save me using my Focusrite in order to get the signal into my laptop.Īh, I never realised about the Headrush, handy its got one in there though. The Scarlett 2i2 has a single USB 2.0 port (on the rear panel). Decent sound too which gets the job done and most importantly, keeps everything in sync when doing my lessons as I had several issues with guitar not being in sync with backing music (Spotify off laptop is digital, Guitar signal from Kemper analogue via the Focusrite so the two were never in sync). I use the Alto ZMX52, its small and compact and very easy to use. I use Adobe Audition 11.1.1.3 to enhance my microphone audio quality in real time: the input of Adobe Audition should be Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio interface, and the output should be a virtual audio cable that I can route to Skype/Dragon NaturallySpeaking/any other programs where I need to use the microphone.

Obv not much use for vocals but does guitar well. I use a HeadRush Gigboard which has a built in audio interface. What hardware mixer do you use? If you find a decent USB mixer I'd be all ears too. Interested to know what modeller that already has an interface built in, I might get a USB mixer with an interface already in so I don't have to connect 2 pieces of hardware. Mix and send as one source to my Focusrite then USB into laptop. So I run my vocals via xlr into channel 1, my guitar out my Kemper into channel 2 and lastly any backing music off a phone into channel 3. PS: We have so far deployed about 10 SmartDocks without any issue, and the microphones are picked up fine in both Windows and Skype for Business 2016.I don't use Skype but I do guitar lessons online and I found the best way to keep all my audio in sync and easy to control is a small hardware mixer. If so, does anyone know of a certified interface? a Skype caller on the Bluetooth channel and a Zoom meeting on the USB.

I'm having problems with a Scarlett 2i2 interface connecting two ceilling-mounted microphones to our Logitech SmartDock with Skype Room System v2 running on it.Īfter installing the drivers provided by Focusrite, and plugging the interface directly into the SmartDock (instead of through Logitechs Extender Box, due to the Extender Box not providing enough power), we still don't get any sound in the SkypeĪfter some testing we found out that the microphones worked nicely in the normal Skype for Business (2016) application, but would not work in the SRS-app.Ĭould it be that the app blocks non-certified devices from being used? Each of these channels even has their own mix-minus feed to ensure no echo is. After installing the drivers provided by Focusrite, and plugging the interface directly into the SmartDock (instead of through Logitechs Extender Box), we still dont get any sound in the Skype Room System application. I first asked this question on, but was told to ask here instead.
